Mission Statement
The Hockessin Business
Association Mission Statement is as follows;
Communications: To serve as a central point of
communication and collaboration for new and existing merchants in-and-around
Hockessin where all businesses are encouraged to participate.
Marketing: To promote and, further represent
the Hockessin businesses in a favorable manner, and gain momentum and member
interest to further establish co-operative marketing and advertising
projects and association sponsored events.
Community Events: To encourage the area
businesses to work together on projects and special events, to the mutual
benefit of both the Hockessin Community and the Hockessin Business
Association whether contributing members or not.
Membership: To maintain an annual census of
area businesses, their service offerings and any level of growth or decline
in the number of businesses in-and-around Hockessin.
Objectives
#1 - To hold regular meetings as an open forum to discuss
ongoing activities and events within the association and seek active
participation from the business owners.
#2 – To develop a clear and direct marketing plan and
foundation for increasing consumer awareness and revenues for the Hockessin
Businesses, which will include an on-line directory and map of the area
merchants. In addition, to establish committee directed programs and events
that will enhance the shopping experience within Hockessin making it a more
desirable destination location.

Provide member committee representation at local and state level board
meetings and working committee meetings as appropriate or necessary.
