Mission - In partnership with the Hockessin Village Design Review Advisory Committee (HVDRAC) review and develop the Hockessin Village Design and design a program that listens to citizens concerns and initiates programs to address them. The Design Committee to concentrate on near term goals later advancing to long term goals.

Achievements -

Welcome to Hockessin Village signs were installed.

            HPP received a Grant from Councilman Tansey for the installation of landscaping at the base of the Welcome to Hockessin Village Signs.

            A bronze plaque recognizing the contribution of the Hockessin/Greenville Rotary was installed at the base of the Flag Pole at the intersection of Lancaster Pike and Yorklyn Road. GHADA paid for the plaque and HPP installed the monument.

            The Design Committee Chairperson identified near term Goals & presented them to HVDRAC

            Landscape maintenance group met with DelDOT representatives to improve the condition of the beds installed along Lancaster Pike and finalize the maintenance agreements.

Projects or interests.

bulletProject 1 - In partnership with HVDRAC review and create design guidelines for Signage.                                                                                
bullet 1. Inventory, photograph and catalog all signs within the Hockessin Village Overlay zone.
bullet 2. Work with New Castle County to identify and have illegal signs removed.
bullet 3. Conversely work with businesses to develop effective and pleasing signage and publicize the effort.
bulletProject 2 - Add landscaping to the base of the Hockessin Village Gateway signs.

bulletProject 3 - Create a landscape gateway at the intersection of Limestone Road and Valley Road.
